Monthly Discussion Forum on Ageing- FEBRUARY 2026
The February 2026 Monthly Discussion Forum on Ageing (MDFA) will be held under the theme “Longevity in Old Age: Income Security and Wellbeing: A Life-Course Approach,” the forum will explore what longer life expectancy means for Kenya and how the country can prepare for an ageing population. Drawing lessons from developed countries, discussions will go beyond pensions to examine broader aspects of wellbeing, including health care, long-term care, financial literacy, social connections, age-friendly environments, purpose after retirement, and intergenerational support.
Featuring insights from institutions such as the Retirement Benefits Authority, National Social Security Fund (NSSF), and County Pension Fund (CPF) Foundation, the forum will emphasize that longevity is not just an older persons’ issue but a national development priority requiring action from individuals, families, communities, and policymakers across all generations.
