July 2026 Monthly Discussion Forum on Ageing
The 13th Session of the Monthly Discussion Forum on Ageing (MDFA) will be held under the theme, “Strengthening the Engagement Capacity of Older Persons’ Organizations (OPOs) Towards the International Day of Older Persons 2026.” The forum will convene government representatives, Older Persons’ Organizations (OPOs), development partners, civil society organisations, and other key stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and promote the meaningful participation of older persons in the planning and delivery of the 2026 Older Persons Conference, held in commemoration of the United Nations International Day of Older Persons (UNIDOP). The session will provide updates on conference preparations, facilitate dialogue between the National Conference Planning Committee and OPOs, and reaffirm the principle of “Nothing About Us Without Us” by ensuring older persons remain at the centre of decisions that affect their lives.
