Stakeholder sensitization forum on the Enhanced Single Registry (ESR).

Social protection is a critical development issue for older persons, playing a key role in accelerating the implementation of Article 57 of the Constitution of Kenya (2010) which mandates the State to take measures to ensure that older members of society fully participate in the affairs of society, pursue personal development, live with dignity and respect, be free from abuse, and receive reasonable care and assistance from both family and the State.

In line with this, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection (MoL&SP), through the National Social Protection Secretariat and in collaboration with the ASAL Humanitarian Network, convened a three-day stakeholder sensitization forum on the Enhanced Single Registry (ESR).

The forum provided an important platform to deepen understanding of the ESR framework, including its operational processes, procedures for accessing data through the established data-sharing protocol, and its role in shock responsiveness. It also highlighted the ESR’s contribution to strengthening coordination and improving service delivery within the social protection sector.
