4th Kenya Social Protection Conference 2026
The State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs, together with key actors in the social protection sector, will convene the 4th Kenya Social Protection Conference (KSPC 2026) from 29 September to 1 October 2026 at the Kenya School of Government in Nairobi.
Themed “Re-imagining Social Protection in an Evolving Socio-Economic Landscape and Climate Change: Strengthening Adaptive, Transformative and Sustainable Social Protection Systems for Inclusive Development in Kenya,” the Conference will bring together approximately 500 local and international delegates from government institutions, civil society, development partners, academia, the private sector and other stakeholders.
As part of the Conference programme, Ageing Concern Foundation (ACF) will participate in a panel discussion on “Closing the Life Cycle: Social Protection for Older Persons as an Investment in the Next Generation.” The session will provide an opportunity to bring attention to the role of social protection in addressing the needs, rights and vulnerabilities of older persons, while highlighting how investing in older persons contributes to stronger families, communities and intergenerational wellbeing.
Participants will also have an opportunity to explore exhibitions showcasing programmes, innovations and interventions from different actors contributing to Kenya’s social protection agenda.
