World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) is an annual commemoration for ACF under the care and support program. It creates an opportunity for awareness on elder abuse in all its forms, including financial, physical, emotional and neglect. This is marked at the community and county levels through ACF’s Older Person Associations (OPAs), at the national level in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection (MoL& SP) and regional/global levels through social media and online advocacy. This year’s Theme is: “Grow the Conversation…Recognize the Signs, Reduce the Risks.”
