Ageing Concern Foundation

on the 14th May, We marked an important step towards the journey to collaborate for stronger advocacy on access to social protection. In collaboration with Suqoon organization and the Directorate for Social Assistance, we held the inaugural national monthly discussion forum on Ageing, bringing together stakeholders advocating for the rights of older people in Kenya.
The inaugural forum focused on the Transition from paying older persons the inua jamii cash transfer through banks to mobile mode of payment. Through a panel discussion, Stakeholders explored progress, gaps, opportunities and the role of older persons organizations in increasing access to social protection for older persons above 70yrs, committing to more partnerships to sustain the monthly forums.
