Ageing Concern Foundation

The July 2025 MDFA offered an invaluable opportunity to sensitize stakeholders on the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) focused on the needs of older persons. During this forum, we discussed opportunities presented by the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF), shared challenges that require CSOs’ support, and explored continuous improvement initiatives to complement the Ministry of Health (MoH) efforts at various levels. Our goal was to ensure that educational activities undertaken by Older Persons Organizations (OPOs) on health and care for older persons align with the national program and enable OPO representatives to share accurate and reliable information with community members and other stakeholders in their scope of work.
