Likuyani Older Persons Association (LOPA) – Kakamega County, Western Kenya
The group launched soap-making initiative in August 2023 producing and selling over fifty (50) litres of liquid soap within three months of inception. The initiative has resulted in a profitable income-generating activity for the over forty-five (45) older men and women in Likuyani Sub County who continue to reap benefits from purchasing the soap at wholesale prices and retailing in local markets to community members including the youth, older persons, community institutions such health facilities, schools and local churches.
